Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need my own boat?
No, you don't need your own boat to join. We have club boats available for training and there are often opportunities to crew for other members. Many members start by crewing before deciding whether to buy their own boat.
What if I've never sailed before?
We welcome complete beginners! We run regular training courses throughout the year, from absolute beginner level through to advanced racing techniques. Our experienced instructors will help you get started safely.
When does membership run from?
Our membership year runs from 1st April to 31st March. If you join part-way through the year, we can offer a pro-rata rate. Contact us for details.
Can I visit before joining?
Absolutely! We encourage prospective members to visit the club, meet our members, and see what we're all about. Get in touch to arrange a visit or come along to one of our open days.
